Frequently asked questions
Paste the video link and press "Show download options". Every quality YouTube actually serves for that video is listed with its real file size; pick one, choose a container if you want, and press download. The file is prepared on our server and then saved straight to your device.
Whatever YouTube offers for that particular video — commonly 144p up to 1080p, and 1440p, 4K or 8K on higher-resolution uploads, in H.264, VP9 or AV1. Video can be saved as MP4, MKV or WebM, and audio on its own as M4A, MP3 or Opus. MP4 with H.264 is preselected because it plays everywhere.
Above 720p, YouTube no longer sends one ready-made file: the picture and the sound arrive as two separate streams. The server joins them with FFmpeg before handing you the file, which is why those rows are marked as merged and take a few seconds longer.
Yes. Videos longer than three hours and files larger than 2 GB are refused, and the tool tells you before starting rather than halfway through. Both limits are set by whoever runs the server.
No. There is no account, no download history and no database record of the link, the quality or the file. The prepared file lives in a temporary folder and is deleted as soon as your browser has it, or after 15 minutes if you never collect it.
Technically the tool will save anything YouTube serves publicly, but that does not make it yours. Download your own uploads, Creative Commons material, and anything you have the rights or permission to keep — and respect the uploader's copyright and YouTube's Terms of Service for everything else.
The video was deleted, made private, blocked in the country this server runs from, or it is a live stream that has not finished. Members-only and private videos have their own tool — they need the access your own account already has.
